Description

For sale. 2012 Suzuki S40 Boulevard with 6830 miles on her named Lola. She been fantastic. without any issues in the 18 months or so I've owned her. Lola's a great starter bike - lightweight. nimble. and lots of fun - an absolutely wonderful old-school cruiser feel. The bike's a thumper - a bulletproof. one cylinder. 652cc. Mikuni carb'd. belt-drive cruiser-style. with a 5-speed trans. disc front / drum rear brakes for dependable braking on this light bike. She's got a 2. 8 gal (w/ manual reserve) tank. only 381 lbs. Light. quiet. simple. reliable. Gas & Go to the tune of 62mpg. Balance of 4 year (from time of original purchase. ends approx. 7/2017) transferrable factory warranty. Turn-key. and ready to go. If you're looking to get into an easy bike to ride this season. don't wait until the prices go up. and everyone's screaming for bikes. If you're starting out. don't get on that Crotch Rocket & kill yourself. and don't spend tons on a big. heavy bike you're only going to dump before you really know how to ride well. Don't waste your money on a new one either - All told. I paid over $6. 00 for this bike & warranty in the summer of 2013 when I bought her new. I've eaten up the depreciation on this like-new bike for you to enjoy riding. and done the first services & regular maintenance since. I bought this bike for my girlfriend to ride with me as a new rider. and it's been fantastic for her. Not been dropped to my knowledge. Lola's been cared for well. and has ridden up to Bar Harbor ME. to Ben & Jerry's in Vermont. and all over New England. Lola's on a trickle charger this winter (pigtail for trickle charger installed & included). and despite having an oil change before putting away for the winter. she will have a fresh oil change for you before the sale (any extra maintenance supplies like filters & O-rings for the bike we have will also be included). She's got a factory flyscreen/small-sized windscreen. a factory sissy bar / luggage rack. and a small aftermarket fork bag will be included as well. If she sells for asking price. I'll include a factory-style replacement gel seat also. She's a great height for short or lady riders too - not too tall at 27. 6" seat height. and narrow so you can likely flat-foot with both feet easily. Low center of gravity. not top-heavy. She's perfect for city use too - very nimble with a very short turning radius. When I have to 5-point turn my big Triumph. Lola will usually do a U-turn one shot. When my old Shadow 1100 got taken out by a redlight runner shortly after buying Lola. I rode the rest of the fall on her. so I know the bike well - I'm 6'1" / 225lb and she zipped right along just fine for me. Lola has been able to navigate highway speeds without any issues. Asking $3750 or best reasonable offer. If it's reasonable. I'll consider it. and if it's not what I'm willing to sell for. I'll politely let you know. I've sent off the $4200 check to pay off the loan. and the title should be here before 4/1/15. just in time for the roads to clear up. motor safety classes to begin. and new riders to be looking for their first bikes. Obviously I'm taking a significant loss on the bike. I debated keeping the bike as a Ryka Motors Bobber conversion project since I've already gotten my girlfriend a new bike as an engagement present. but being honest with myself. I know Lola's got to move on to a new home rather than not be ridden often. No known mechanical issues. no leaks. no hassles - seriously. just gas & go. inexpensive to insure. and easy to ride. UPDATE: Got Lola started & took her for a short ride on Sunday. 3/15/15. She started right up. and ran well. Payment:$1000 payment to hold the bike. balance of payment & pickup by 5/1/15 unless otherwise negotiated. Non-cash funds must be cleared 10 days prior to release of bike & title. Paypal accepted. I am not able to ship. but will work with your shipping company after funds have cleared as described above. Bike is located in Cumberland. RI. I am willing to deliver (ride. not trailered) the bike within 50 miles of 02864 for a $100 fee. I am maintaining insurance on the bike until 5/22/15. at which point it will be pickup only. Bike is listed for sale locally and this listing is subject to close upon local sale without notice. If you want it. pull the trigger and make it happen. I will close this ad prior to accepting a local sale. so if it's listed here. it's available. Please. no scammers. No BS sale - simple. honest. straight-up. Good bike. make me a fair offer. close the deal & let's just get out there riding. Ride safe. folks.
