A numbers matching 1967 T120R Triumph Bonneville with recently completed high level of restoration. No amount was spared on this ground up restoration with a very high level of attention paid to making this bike as complete and accurate as possible with some modern finishes. The engine was completely rebuilt by a local professional with over 30 years’ experience. The engine was original and untouched when I got it so we bored it .020 over and installed new pistons, alves, earings, tc. The bike runs amazingly well and oil leakage is very minimal. Every part was either replaced with British made parts or parts were re plated or painted. Paint was done by the premier Triumph paint expert, on Hutchinson at a cost of over $1500 and the powder coat was done by a local shop that was trained by Triumph restoration expert Bill Hoard. All emblems are enclosed by the clear coat so that they are not susceptible to the elements like the original water transfers. Proper color for the bike is the aubergene over alaskan white but I prefer the earlier aubergene over gold so that is the color combo I went with. Tank badges were also painted by Don Hutchinson with the proper white starting and stopping where it should. One exception to period correctness is the twin leading shoe front brake which is the 1969 version and was a common upgrade on these bikes back in the day. Its performance is much improved over the stock single leading shoe and can be switched back by simply replacing the brake backer plate. I think the performance and look of this brake makes the sacrifice to originality worth it. Wheels are British re pops with Buchanan stainless spokes and new Dunlop K70 tires and all new brake pads. Battery is a new sealed 12 volt Motobatt AGM that will not spill or leak acid. Correct tool tray is in place as well as a proper NOS brown kill switch button that functions as it should. All lights, ages, witches, tc. are fully functional with a new fabric covered wiring harness in place. Head light lens is NOS Lucas which was over $200 by itself. An original NOS horn was located at a cost of $300 Monobloc carbs are original and correct to the bike and have been rebuilt with all new jets. It has taken about six months to dial them in properly but I now have them to a point where the bike performs very well across all ranges. It starts almost always on the first kick, dles beautifully, ccelerates strong and will pull hard into the upper rev range. Exhaust headers and pipes are British made repops and the mufflers have the correct taper with no visible weld lines in them. Oil lines are the proper herring bone pattern and the oil line clamps are period correct as is all hardware on the bike which was replated. Gages were rebuilt by Nissonger and work perfectly with the original faces cleaned and retained. Volt meter is true NOS and not a re pop copy. A brand new speedo drive unit was installed as well. Forks completely rebuilt with no leaks, ear shocks are new reproductions. New re pop stainless fenders with the correct raw edge were sourced as was a NOS taillight and a proper Lucas tail light lens. I will help to arrange shipping the bike as long as the shipping point is close to current location which is Byron Center Michigan, 9315. A deposit of $500 within 24 hours will be needed in order to hold the bike and cash for the balance at pick up. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Contact me via ebay messaging if you would like to see the bike or get more info. Note that since these pictures were taken, he NOS kill switch and NOS throttle housing were added. Thanks for looking and be assured that this is one of the best restored ’67 Bonnevilles out there and is a great bike for both show and as an occasional rider.
