Custom Triumph Bobber
2003 Triumph America 19,500 miles and counting.
Bought this over a year ago for my wife to ride and I’ve done extensive work to it on top of what the prior owner had done. My wife has enjoyed riding it but wants to move onto a bagger now. This bike is ready to roll to bike night or weekend cursing, eeds very, ery little. Bike is very quick with lots of top end power and very good low end torque. Bike fires up first time every time hot or cold. Warms up quick with heated carbs.
This Triumph America weighs in at less than 490 pounds and sits super low. It’s been lowered 3” front and back with Progressive Suspension. The seat has been changed to a British Custom Solo Seat for an even lower riding position. Bike comes with three sets of bars. The current bars are similar to the stock bars in pull back but have less raise, his gives you a little forward lean for most people. The set that I prefer are much less pull back and even lower which gives me even more forward lean. The last set is what came on the bike and is a set of down turned cafe bars for a huge reach and forward lean. All three come with the bike.
Rev limit at 8500 RPM for this 790cc DOHC Parallel Twin with dual carbs and open full length pipes that sound great. Crazy fast throttle response from the dual Nology ignition coils and wires as well as the new Triumph Twin Power Fire Starter Performance Ignitor Unit and new NGK plugs. Full synthetic oil changed less than 1k miles ago. Dunlop tires with greater than 60% life left.
The Triumph America is a very light bike, ighter than a Harley Sportster but larger than a Sportster. The America has a similar size to the Harley Softtail. Super easy to ride, ounds awesome and handles well at speed being as low as it is. Lots of little custom features seen throughout the bike. I’m gonna list all of the medications below and please take a close look at the photos for all the little details.
- Sceptre full length open pipes - Sound crazy good - Carbs jetted to match the pipes and altitude - Nology Racing Ignition Coils and Wires - New NGK Plugs - Triumph Twin Power Fire Starter Performance Igniter Unit - Progressive Lower Kit and Springs in front forks. - Forks completely rebuilt this year. - Progressive Rear Shocks with adjustable preload - New front and rear EBC HH Stintered brake pads from and rear - Installed last year - New floating front EBC brake rotor from a CBR900RR installed last year - New stainless steel braided brake lines installed last year - New Barnett clutch cable installed this year - British Customs billet clutch cable support - Hella E-Code Headlight - British Customs front and rear turn indicator/running lights - Signal Minder auto canceling turn signal system - British Customs Solo Seat - British Customs Solo Seat Fender Trim - British Customs Rear Luggage Rack - Not pictured - British Customs rear beg eliminator plates - Kuryakyn Grips with throttle boss - Paint in outstanding condition except for the front fender which has a few small scratches in it from being stored. We were running the bike without a front fender until the weather went bad this year.
If you’re looking for a light, ast cruiser with lots of unique style this is a must see.
