Up for auction is my beautiful 1977 Triumph Bonneville 750cc T140V twin.
This bike is an original, rame and engine numbers matching, urvivor still with its factory paint. It is a great everyday rider.
Within last 1500 miles (6 years of my ownership):
Overhaul of engine, ransmission, nd clutch.
Installed new connecting rod big-end shells. Main crankshaft bearings and cylinders were in excellent condition. De-glazed cylinder walls and installed new piston rings, alves, valve guides, nd springs.
Overhauled the gearbox replacing all major bushings and seals.
Replaced high gear output shaft and its needle bearings.
Overhauled the clutch and installed new primary chain (drive chain and sprockets are in excellent condition).
Front master cylinder overhauled and rear cylinder replaced with new. Installed Boyer Electronic Ignition.
BrandNew Factory Amal Carbs (2014) with new air cleaner elements. Airbox covers have been chromed and painted blue to match the tank.
New front and rear wheel bearings.
Overhauled front fork.
The five-speed transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch action is perfect.
Seat has been recovered.
Header pipes and silencers are 60's retro style (ala T120). I like the look better than 70's cross-pipes and silencers.
New chrome headlight shell and turn signals.
Centerstand and sidestand are fully functional and sturdy.
Gas tank's factory paint is beautiful with its lacquer luster - however, here are a few dabs of touch up paint.
No rust inside tank
New petcocks.
Lights and horn work well, s does speedometer and tachometer. (speedometer jumps around a bit below 30 mph but then smooths out).
Charging system works well.
Tires have plenty of tread left - only 1500 miles from new.
Bike starts on 1 or 2 kicks and idles well.
Easily passes annual DMV inspection.
This Bonnie has that unmistakable Triumph exhaust note and handles wonderfully, hether on the highway or back country roads.
//It's a wonderful classic that is ready to ride.
Note: Zero or negative feedback bidders please email before bidding otherwise bids will be cancelled.
USA only.
This bike has no warranty, xpressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for arrangement of shipping, owever I will assist in any reasonable way possible. A non-refundable PayPal deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of auction close. Remainder by certified check on national US bank.
