Description

1968 Triumph Bonneville, 120 R. The engine and frame are matching numbers. This very desirable year for a Bonneville is a daily driver, ot a show bike. It runs exceedingly well, tarts on first or second kick. This bike would be a great candidate for full restoration, s it is so original. The fenders and paint are not original. The carbs were replaced about 5 years ago, nd the bike runs very smooth. The top end has been rebuilt. The tires are about 5 years old, ith very little wear, ut have slight cracks since day one when I bought them. But no problems. The exhaust system may be original, nd one muffler had battery acid dumped on it, uy still works ok. Currently the tach and speedometer are not working, nd mileage is unknown. The engine, ransmission, nd primary oils were changed about 50 miles ago. The front fork oils need to be changed. A close friend bought the bike from Lloyd Provin, former noted Vermont Triumph dealer in 1980. I bought the bike in 1997. The bike was always garaged since 1980, ell maintained, nd never abused. The bike has been registered and ridden every year, ut less than 1000 miles per year for the past 4 years. This 1968 Bonneville is not a show bike, ut it is a very good example of a well maintained, nd much enjoyed classic Triumph. I reserve the right to end the auction early, s the bike is listed for sale locally. I will help your shipper to load the bike, r you can pick it up, fter it is paid for. This is a very good bike for the early British biker.
