Description

Triumph Board Track Bobber was purchased in parts last fall in Mn. I found that it at one time been constructed as a Chopper and it has went thru several owners over a number of years so some details are missing on just how it came to be disassembled. It is my understanding that it went into a body shop for paint and was disassembled but never painted. Any way most of the chopper parts were present to reassemble it but I decided to put it back together as a Bobber since the frame was unaltered. The engine was out of the frame and was free so the dust was cleaned off the engine and put in a test stand. A new electronic ignition system was installed and the carburetors were cleaned. The engine started and ran well and was ran for about a hour on and off. Oil pressure was checked and found to be very good as well as compression. Board track handle bars are installed The front end is a Sportster. The frame was sand blasted and painted a urethane Hot Rod Flatz black as were the forks and front drum. Front and rear wheels are painted with DuPont black Base coat with three clear coats applied. front and rear wheels are fitted with new tires. The Fuel Tank. il tank. ear fender were carbon fiber wrapped and three coats of DuPont clear sprayed over them as well. The base coat paint for the carbon fiber wrap is gold. The battery is a gel cell and was ugly so it was wrapped with carbon fiber. A brass opera binocular was converted for the tail and brake light. La Rosa seat with 5" springs so it does ride decent. Four fuses protect the wiring and as mentioned a new Pazon electronic ignition was install as well as new wiring and regulator. Sprocket's and chain are either new or near new I could not see any ware. 2- 34 MM Mikuni carburetor's. A 3" X 6" camera lens container is mounted to the frame for documents or what ever. The bike was finished last Sunday so when it got up to a balmy 25 degrees and no snow on Tuesday I took it for a ride to test it out. It runs. rives and shifts very well and no problems were found on the some what short 8 mile ride. This bike does not have a speedometer or signal lights it is a bare bones low tech. bike with a high tech. carbon fiber finish on it. It has a clear Mn. title. The bike was selected and has been entered in a show March 6-7 and 8 and is for sale locally as well. For additional information call Tom 608-372-6696
