Sometime before 2003 under United Nation's "OIL FOR FOOD" program. the Ural Factory manufactured five-hundred 2WD motorcycles that were inspired by purpose and functionality. just like the modern day Gear Up Model. These rugged. durable bikes were shipped to Iraq and were intended on being used by Postal Services and the Ministry of Agriculture. Due to the start of the war. however. they were never put to use. During the war they were captured in brand new condition by Coalition Forces and were re-purposed for the needs of the American forces. These bikes had a special. designated gray finish that distinguished them from other Ural Models at that time. Inspired by this theme. we asked that the factory reproduced this historical gray color using modernized durable powder coating. For aesthetics and better paint durability. we chose a secondary. nbsp;flat black tone on the bike frame and various details that was powder coated on.
