Description

This is a Minimono race bike project I just don't have time to finish. Yamaha YZF 426 hanging in an aluminum Spondon chassis. I mentioned Moto 3 in the title because I don't know if you could swap the motor for a 250. Anyway. It has TZ 125 running gear and wheels. with a Fox shock that I'm sure could use a re-build. The wheels on the bike in the pics are Marvic magnesium 5 spoke. and the others are stock Yamaha. They all have rotors. The forks and brakes are TZ 125. as is the bodywork. The seat is from an older TZ 250 and sits correctly on the frame. There's a pretty complete set of rear sprockets. And the carb is on there. too. And both the front and rear stands. What I've done so far is mount the running gear and motor. It's all straight and ready to go. in that respect. And I modded the exhaust head pipe. In other words. the hard part is done. There's still some stuff to do. if you like fabrication. and such. The bodywork and tank need to be mounted. You'll need to fab up a set of foot peg hangers and controls. Fab up mounts the radiator. and finish the exhaust. You'll also need to get countershaft sprockets made up from someone like Sprocket Specialists because the TZ uses a smaller size. And I'm sure there will be a few other things I can't think of right now. but that's the fun part. isn't it?Not in the pics are a muffler and a radiator. and the handle bars have been replaced with a set that have replaceable bars. When it's done. I would think this bike will weigh about 200lbs or less. and depending on how much you get into the motor. make 50hp give or take. It should be fun and fast. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Don't be afraid to make an offer. but please don't low-ball me. either. I know the parts are worth what I'm asking. I'd just hate to part it out. this close to being finished. As to shipping. I will help you out with that. if necessary. I know Allied used to ship bikes domestically without having to crate them up. And I can box the other stuff up for you. I can also build a crate. if necessary. and ship it anywhere. But you will have to make all the arrangements and payments. with a shipping company. I live near Daytona. so if you're coming down for Bike Week. or know someone that is. I can get it to you pretty easily. I guess that's all I can think of right now. Oh. never mind the stuff about mileage and everything. They make you fill that stuff in with something.
