1978 RD400E CLASSIC VINTAGE BIKE

This classic motorcycle is amazing. Anyone of you reading this know about the Yamaha 2 stroke machines. This one has been very well cared for and loved. This classic machine is in top condition. It has never been raced. Only ridden by a proud owner who grew up owning them new. The bike starts up everytime on the first or second kick always. All systems and switches function as designed. even the oil injection system. Anything that needed maintained or replaced was. We have added some mods to enhance its performance. The carburetors are Mikuni 28 MM with a custom airbox fitted to a k&n filter. The Exhaust system has been upgraded to a set of custom made expansion chamber pipes. It sounds great and the performance benefits markedly improved. For the purists. I have all of the original parts if one desires to return the bike to stock. The heads are polished. and the cylinders bored . 10 over with Wiseco pistons at 8. 5 to 1 compression. (your welcome!) As can be seen from the pictures. the engine and frame have matching numbers.
