81 YAMAHA XV700

BOUGHT THIS BIKE TO RESTORE BUT AM HAVING LOWER BACK ISSUES WHICH PREVENT ME FROM DOING ANYTHING ELSE TO BIKE. BIKE WILL HAVE TO BE PICKED UP AS IT IS NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING. BIKE HAS BEEN SITTING SINCE 1997 WITH NO OIL IN IT. HAVE SOME EXTRA PARTS TO GO WITH IT. was told by a bike mechanic that if you put diesel oil in cylinders it would allow motor to un freeze it. newer back tire. new handgrips. have original back light for it. new led turn signals and Clymer repair manual to go with it. milage is at 18486 and are original miles on bike. looks like previous owner dropped it a few times. as I said bike is collectable as it was made the year that the us placed stiff tarrifs on japan with anything 700cc and above so the japaneese made this bike to import to the united states as it was a 698cc bike. just installed headlight and trim ring today4/7/15 just took front tire off as i'm going to put a tube in it for now. also have sealed battery and right side cover but cover has crack in it. also have new ignition switch with keys. and have a new gas tank locking cap with keys coming thurs 4/9 or fri 4/10 for it. will be installing ign. and inner tube in front tire today 4/12/15 took pic of parts I have and one with headlight installed. also installed new gas tank locking cap put rear stoplight asembly. rear turn signals. and hand grips on today 04/12/2015talked to bike mechanic yesterday and he says by the looks of it. bike may not require much to get bike up and running. he says to put diesel oil in both cylinders and that should free it up. and motor appears to be in great shape. says he'd buy it but he just bought another 700 but has to rebuild motor and he paid 1. 0 for it non running! motor is stuck from sitting for so long. it is not froze up as in bad motor frozen. just for information purposes
