Description

2008 Yamaha Stratoliner Midnight. 13,000 miles. The bike has never been crashed or abused. The motor is all stock except for the K&N air filter and air box cover spacer.
Now for the good parts. The custom modifications below except the gas tank were made using the mindset that the parts could be easily removed and the original parts put back on. I do have all the original parts for the bike and they will go with the sale.
The rear fender (purchased from EBay to keep the original unmolested) was modified for a recessed license plate. The license plate bolts have LED's in them to light it up. The factory tail lights were removed and 1966 Corvette LED tail lights were installed into the saddle bags. This is all metal and no bondo. The LED tail lights are far brighter than the original lights and it really cleans up the rear of the bike.
The seat has been changed to a more comfortable seat with a removable rider backrest. See the pictures.
The handle bars were changed to Flanders bars with more pull back and rise than stock. New Avon grips were installed with a throttle assist and a throttle lock.
A custom fairing was installed with a radio and a GPS mount. It takes 4 bolts and 1 electrical connector to remove the entire thing.
The detachable trunk uses the original sissy bar mount and a custom bracket was made. The nice part about this is the mount locks to the bike so it cannot be easily stolen.
If you know anything about the Stratoliners they have a 1900 cc motor but they have a small 4.5 gallon fuel tank. Most Harleys and other bikes in this class have 6 gallon tanks. I sent the tank to Rick Petko (OCC and American Chopper fame) and he spilt the tank in half and welded in a filler panel and pressure tested it. It now holds 6.8 gallons of fuel. It will go just over 300 miles on a tank.
A Tricky Air rear suspension was added with the onboard compressor to smooth out the ride.
New Bridgestone tires were installed 300 miles ago.
Rider foot boards and passing lights were installed.
Custom paint was done by MX Restorations.
You can see from the pictures the bike can go from a daily cruiser to a more touring model in less than 2 minutes with no tools.
The bike has 13,000 miles but it may go up since I still ride it
