This Vstar is a 950cc good looking dependable ride. It starts right up runs smooth has great brakes and everything is in good mechanical order. The rubber does need to be replaced and she needs some tlc to make her look new again,but for an 09 with 18K miles I am pretty impressed. The initial ride was suprisingly smooth and easy to control. Felt very good in the turns, ight and well balanced. First gear is a bit low but second and third more than make up for it to get you up to traffic speed. No problems taking this bike on the highway at all. Plenty of weight to feel comfortable when passing the big trucks and enough horsepower to allow that to happen. My take is that if you want a custom vtwin cruiser beginner to mid level on a budget, his is the perfect bike for you. Every day rider that wil take youout to the beach with no problems and in comfort.
