Up for auction is this 1968 Yamaha DT-1 250 Enduro project. This bike had one of the biggest impacts on the motorcycle industry back in the late 60's. This bike is the real deal. Single plug head. square swing arm. 2 screw primary cover. small tachometer and single bottom bolt tail light bracket. This is the one that started it all. I picked up this bike many years ago with the intention of doing a full restoration but as the years have flown by so has my ambition. This is a numbers matching motorcycle with a clear title in my name. It is somewhere around 98% original and complete. The tires are even the original Dunlop's with plenty of tread and no dry rot. cracking or checking. The engine turns over with compression and the transmission and clutch seem to operate as they should. Cylinder and head appear to have no broken fins. I have never tried starting the bike even though the person I bought if from years ago rode it up to the time I picked it up. NOS items include the tail light bracket and skid plate. New items include the rear chain. grips and levers with reproduction tank badges and seat cover with foam. The only item I know is missing is the lower chain guide. This would make an excellent project for the right person and should only increase in value. Please feel free to ask any questions. The bike is being sold as is and where is. Shipping arrangements and cost are the responsibility of the winning bidder. I will work with your shipper as best I can. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding on this excellent opportunity.
