This 1977 YAMAHA YZ250D is very complete and in very good overall condition. and is mostly original – the photos are a large part of my description of the bike. so study them thoroughly. The Frame VIN # is 1W3-001XXX. IMPORTANT NOTE: I have known the family of this bike from the time they bought it brand new – it has never been raced; repeat – it has never been raced! It was used for trail/fun riding on and around their family farm for just the first couple years. then sat in storage the remaining time until I purchased it recently – it is a very nice. very solid. un-abused YZ250! The engine top end has just been professionally rebuilt using all New Old Stock Genuine Yamaha Parts (see photos) – the bike starts easily and runs great. the clutch and transmission work solidly and smoothly. and the brakes and suspension work smoothly – the suspension is nice and plush – it will need to be tuned to the new riders weight. etc. It has most original body panels intact and in good shape – it looks like it has newer OEM front and rear fenders that were installed years ago (both are very nice). The original vinyl was lifting on the side panels. so I repainted the backgrounds on the number panels. The fuel tank had some fading and a few minor dings and scratches on it – I have smoothed the tank up nicely and it still needs to be polished - the correct new tank decals are included (see photos). The tank is in very good overall condition. with no cracks or leaks of any kind. and the inside of the tank is very clean. The wheels and hubs are in very good original condition. and the original tires are still good. The air-box assembly is complete and original with all the original parts - it does need a new air filter foam. The original exhaust system is intact and in very good condition. and the silencer is also in very good condition. The original seat and cover is in very nice condition with no tears or holes. The handlebars are straight. and it has unbreakable levers on it (they work great) - all other parts and pieces appear to be correct and original. including the pedals. etc. WARRANTY: THIS MOTORCYCLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS.
