Description

Well .. I cant believe I'm doing this, but here is my 1998 Tahoe.

I've had it since mile 1 and have religiously taken very good care of him.

Two years ago, I made the mistake of helping a neighbor get out of a snow bank. The result of pulling on all four wheel for about two hours, was that I damaged my tranny. I put in a used one, and it lasted maybe 3000 miles? Then the 3rd gear started to slip.

I don’t have the funds to get a new remanufacture, but I always had hope that I could get him back on the road.

I do have my eye on a tranny in Detroit. It’s $750 with a two year warranty. I'm happy to pass along that info.

A little bit of work, and you’ll have a very strong ‘98 4x4.

It’s now come to the hard reality, that I’ll never get around to fixing it. That, and I need to be able to get into my garage .. so space is needed.

Up for auction is my 1998 Tahoe. You can see in looking at the pictures that the body is clean and strong. The 350 motor stills runs strong. It starts, it runs, it’ll drive, cruise still works, new windshield .. Everything except the CD player works. Interior is a bit dirty, but no tears or damage.

You can see that the side mirror is broken, but I already have the part and that will go along in the sale.

The paint isn’t perfect, as its started to lose the clear. But the lines are straight and this Tahoe has never been in an accident. Tires still have some life as well.

It’s a great truck, and has served me very well since I drove it off the lot in 1998. Honestly, I'm sad to let it go.

But the death of any vehicle is complacency, so the longer it sits, the harder it’ll be to bring it back. So reluctantly, I'm putting it up for auction.

It’ll start, and get through second, but that’s where is slips. Reverse still works as well

I've done my best to describe this vehicle. There are no warranties neither express nor implied. It is as is.
