Description

1975 CZ175 Type 477 I have owned this bike for over 15 years. I purchased this from a former client at my performance motorcycle shop. Life got busy and I put it into storage. I recommissioned it three years ago. It is a fun bike with all the technology it does not possess. This is a very simple bike. It immediately takes you to a very different era. It has a 4 speed. wide ratio transmission. All systems are in great working order. This is a stock bike all the way down to the “Barum” Tires. I received the bike without the tire pump and stock tool kit. Both of those items are available. I have ridden this for three summers around my local area. The bike is well known and a great deal of fun to ride. It goes slow. (I have sport and GP bikes that I ride as well) has adequate brakes. handles like a 70’s bike. and is always a crowd pleaser. It has a few interesting items that always intrigue people that see it. Most people. who know these bikes. understand the unusual kick start. The shifter also acts as the kick start. The key looks like a modified nail. The drive chain is fully encased. This 2 stroke street bike is rare in numbers. I have seen this model and year of CZ on eBay in the last few years. The examples range from “Out of the Crate” models to absolute basket cases. Almost all of the examples did not run. This is a unit that runs well and has been extensively serviced. I detailed some of the cosmetics to prove that this bike is loved and appreciated. This is no trailer queen and can take you for a slow leisurely afternoon ride. It also catches the eye of many. The color is a “ultra exciting” Baby Poo Brown. All paint is original. The fuel tank has rust yet is more than operational. I believe the Czechoslovakian’s melted down old tanks and other armaments to fabricate the stout bodywork. The tank can be cleaned and treated. I installed a new petcock and filter recently. I have experienced zero issues with this unit. This is a “points “ style ignition and has a 6v charging system. Parts are readily available through “CZ Gary”. This is not a “daily rider” style of bike. If you are looking for daily transportation with freeway work……. this will not be a good bike for you. But…… If you want a fun bike that goes slow. has adequate brakes and handling for lazy rides……. and you would enjoy some attention…. This is a great candidate. I always love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning! This has been a wonderful bike to diddle around on. Lots of "smiles per mile". I am downsizing my collection of bikes. I will be posting several Street and Vintage GP bikes. I have several other “projects” on my bucket list that I want to complete. I restore vintage motorcycles now. as my vocation. This bike is being sold with a Washington State “Release of interest” that has been properly notarized along with a bill of sale. This is a “pick up” item only. I can direct you to shippers that are professional and reliable. I can crate this unit. for a modest fee. only if you have a “Crate Kit” delivered to my business. I totally understand shipping can be expensive. All buyers on eBay know that fact. It is a part of the purchase and ownership. Please investigate shipping before bidding. I am clearing out decades of parts from an "out of control" hobby. I have been collecting motorcycle and automotive vehicles and related items for over 40 years. Many of these items were current parts when I bought them. Now most of them have now moved to the “vintage” category. The items being auctioned have been in dry. heated storage through the years. I am downsizing my life and I believe these parts would be better used by others. Please be certain of the fitment or compatibility of any item before bidding. I work hard to accurately describe all auction items. If you have questions. please do not hesitate to contact me prior to bidding. Thank you for looking at my auctions. Rules of this Auction include: All bidders must have a minimum 20 feedbacks to bid. unless previous arrangements have been accepted. Payment to be made within 24 hours. unless previous arrangements have been made. Payment for “Buy it Now” auctions must be made at the time of transaction.
