1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce -This beautiful Spider was purchased new by its previous owner in California. It was later traded in to Stewart Sandeman Jr. s Alfa Performance Connection in Orange County. California. about 12 years ago. It was then purchased by an Alfa enthusiast who meticulously maintained. serviced. and repaired near everything in this car to insure peak performance and show car quality. It has been well maintained with original records and original owner's card. manual. and service books. Having been a member for 40 years with the Alfa Romeo Owner's club. he had always garaged this car and it remains rust free. It had previously been owned by one of their customers and serviced by them since the late 70’s. She is fully documented with all service records available from that period forward. as is the original Owner’s Card. Manual and Service Book. Current mileage is also believed to be accurate due to the trail created by various documents. She has been re-painted in her original factory Rosso color. Carello headlight covers were added. and the US specification side-marker lights were removed. for a cleaner European look. as intended by the factory. The SPICA mechanical fuel-injection has been rebuilt. the transmission has been fully rebuilt. the engine has had a valve job recently performed. and numerous other items such as brakes. the cooling system. and suspension have been either replaced or serviced as needed. All her systems work as they should. including items that most people overlook. such as accessory lighting. the heater fan. and various instruments. She sits on upgraded Alfa Romeo wheels and fresh tires. Her engine runs very smoothly and unleashes all the power it should. and she’ll cruise effortlessly down the highway. The transmission goes nimbly through gears. just as it should. with newer items such as the clutch. brakes. and steering. which are all in excellent order. She is a pure joy to drive. and has taken several trips from the Southern tip of California to the Monterrey area. where she has been on exhibit in the Concorso Italiano. In fact. she looks so good. she appeared prominently on a page in the Concorso Italiano Auto Show. and in its catalog. I purchased this car from the Quad/Imperial palace Auto Collections about 1. 5 years ago and had it transported to Wisconsin where it has only been driven in summer and always garaged. Interior and exterior components are in excellent shape. including the wooden lacquered steering wheel. canvas convertible top. paint. and exterior chrome pieces. and design elements. To find a Spider Veloce Convertible in such excellent condition is a real treat and becoming rarer all the time. This car is a crowd pleaser. and has been known to turn heads. wherever it has been shown. All this car needs now. is a new appreciative owner. who loves Italian sport cars/convertibles as much as I do.
