Here we have an early (plastic runner) 1972 BMW 2002 Tii. Original factory color of Silver with dark blue and black interior with factory sunroof. She starts and runs but unfortunately there is rust at the left rear subframe mount causing the subframe to hang down. There is no doubt that this is a project car and will need much work to restore to her former glory. Make no mistake. you will need to address rust at the rear subframe mount. and a few areas on the body. Many other items will need to be addressed as would be typical of any restoration. Of course another option would be to remove the power plant and running gear and drop it in to a rust free chassis but it would be a shame to do that to such a rare car with such a fantastic original color combination. The pictures do not adequately convey the scope of work required on this car. The car would be best described as 'rough'. I STRONGLY suggest you inspect the car personally to ensure it's exactly what you want. In fact. if you want to personally discuss the car with me I welcome your call between the hours of 10 am and 10 pm PACIFIC time at (360) 474-4911. The car is located in Vancouver. BC but I travel to the US frequently and I'm happy to help you import the car to the US as I have done this before. This car can be driven on to a trailer but there is no way it should be driven on a public road. I have had the car parked for a few months now and since then I have noticed some coolant leaking from the radiator and the car is idling higher than it was before I parked it. I am happy to help drive or load the car on to a trailer or car transporter of your choice and ship anywhere in Canada or the US at your expense.
