Description

I have a 1988 BMW 320IS I bought with intentions of lowering it and putting some nice wheels on it but I have another project that is eating up my money, hat I would rather finish. I did not do the engine/trans swap so I have limited information on everything that was done.I was told the LS1 and 6 speed transmissionare out of a 2002 Camaro SS.I was told ithas the LS6 cam and possibly a few other upgrades. The factory dash gages forheat, il pressure, and speedometer are all hooked up andfunction with the newengine as well as the power windows, ail lights, eadlights and turn signals. The headlights are newer aftermarket. The wiper motor works but the wiper arms have been removed. The power door locks and RKE (remote keyless entry) function but the driver door actuator is weak and will not unlock the driver side door but it does move some. The radiator is not the original BMW radiator and isbigger. It has an electric cooling fan mountedon the front of the radiator and is hooked up to an automatic temperature switch so it comes on as needed. The car has been painted and the door jams, nbsp;under the weather stripping, nd the fire wallwere painted as well. It appears it was pretty well torn apart to paint. The light blue on top is a flat or satin finish and the white number and writing is stick on vinyl. The paint is pretty nice with no orange peel. There are a few blemishes in the paint from the car flexing and the hood was shuton something that somebody forgotunder the hood. The lower dark blue paint has a texture to it on purpose but is paint. The interior only consists of one racing bucket seat with a four point harness and the original dash, enter console and a fire extinguisher. All the carpet and rear seats were removed. It is basically gutted included the trunk but does have a spare tire and wheel. It has 17x7.5 aluminum wheels with 235 45 DOT drag radials on the front and 245 45 drag radials on the rear because the last ownerused itfor auto cross 3 times. The car has the 5 lug upgrade (5x120)onallfour corners with 4 wheel disc brakes and drilled rotors on the front. The brakes are very strong. It starts and runs good but the third gear syncro is going bad, t nicks a little shifting into third. Otherwise, t shifts and runs through the gears great. According to the rear differential tag it has a 3.46 gear ratio and lays double black marks..lol so it must have a limited slip. It is not welded solid because it turns nice with no scooting on the inside tire. The wiring could be cleaned up, ust taped and zip tied up and organized a little better. only really visible in the glove box where the computer is located. It all works though. I have never plated it but I don't see why you could not street drive it daily. I have driven it some around the outskirts of town with no problems. I was told it was on a chassis dyno but I have no proof. In my opinion it is pretty sweet and would look great lowered with some nice wheels. I would not be afraid to drive it home but do so at your own risk. Overall it needs a little TLC but is not bad at all. No reserve with a low starting bid. Try buying just the engine and transmission. $200 paypal deposit due within 24 hours. Rest due on pick up. Serious bidders only. Selling cars on ebay is not cheap but I feel this car needs a national market.
