Description

This is a solid Inka Orange BMW 2002. It was sold as a California car and maintained by the original owner for many years. I've owned it for about 6 years and I think I am the 2nd owner. Garage kept. Driven seldom. No structural rust. The car has a complete Ireland Engineering suspension package: Stage 1 performance suspension kit - springs, 2mm adjustable link sway bars, oly bushings, Bilstein rear shocks and front cartridges. It was also upgraded to a Weber carb and intake which simplified the under-hood situation dramatically. A solid weekend car, xcellent for more upgrades or restoration or potentially a daily driver as-is. The engine runs well but is getting tired, robably due for some internal attention. The transmission and clutch are strong and relatively tight. The paint is original and has been touched up by the previous owner. I was told that the engine was rebuilt (no documentation available) around 65000 miles. The spedometer/odometer is broken, disconnected it at 92,706 because the pointer broke off and it was noisy. I have only driven 2 or 3 tanks of gas through the car since then, t mostly sits. In 2014: Professionally repaired the one underbody rust area around the pedal box. Rebuilt pedal box. New pedal box insulating foam. New transmission shifter bushings. New clutch master cylinder. Rebuilt radiator. New alternator. New timing chain. Converted to electric fuel pump. New fuel hoses. New fuel filler boot. New windshield gaskets front and rear. New ROTA wheels and Kumho Ecsta tires. Completely rebuilt the heater box. Removed the aftermarket air conditioning (saved the parts, omes with the car) Repaired battery wiring. Installed a bluetooth stereo. Installed new carpet and floor insulation. Installed aftermarket seats (original seats were replaced when I recieved the car) Installed custom class-1 tow hitch/receiver and wired for 7-pole with brake controller. This was for demo/photo purposes for our teardrop camper business, he BMW only towed the campers a few times and maybe 100 miles total. We named the camper business after the color of this car- Inka Outdoor. The brake controller mounted to the dash and the hitch draw-bar in the photos are NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE. I will leave the wiring intact should you want to use it. I will be happy to assist in loading this car onto the shipper of your choice. I WILL NOT ARRANGE SHIPPING, lease don't ask. The car has a clear North Carolina title and it is currently registered and insured.
