The M5 (with its all new 5. 0 liter V8 engine) created an almost cult collectible status overnight. A decade later. these cars still create excitement among collectors. This M5 was sold new in February of 2000 by a Porsche dealer in South Carolina (near the U. S. delivery center). This owner kept the car until August of 2005 and put 55. 00 miles on it. All services were performed at their local BMW dealer. It was then sold to another local enthusiast who serviced it regularly. It was then sold about 2-years ago with 107. 00 miles to the current owner. It has never been in an accident and most of the paintwork is original (except right rear panel which had some touch-up). The current owner is a long-time BMW M5 enthusiast who has spent tens of thousands of miles speed rally driving an M5 all over the world (NOT THIS ONE) with a friend. Finally. in 2013. he went on a search to find a clean. non-modified example with a good history. After much searching. he found this car and immediately started going through everything to make sure it was in tip-top condition. He employed the help of a couple well-known and respected BMW specialists. Currently. Bullet Performance of Costa Mesa. California has been looking after the car. They are one of the best shops in Southern California with an impeccable history (check out their reviews). Some highlights of recent repairs/services include: Recent oil service/maintenance inspectionNew power steering hoseNew air bag sensorNew vanos solenoidRepair rear differential leakA/C system servicedNew clutch kit ($1. 00)Complete engine resealing ($3. 00)Variable camshaft timing resealReplace display (dead pixels) on instrument clusterComplete new OEM suspension (all 4-corners) and alignment ($3. 00)Rebuild Vanos system ($3. 00) Over the last 2-years and 9. 00-miles. the current owner has invested nearly $12. 00 in services and repairs to make sure this M5 was a close to new stock running condition possible. This M5 is in very nice original condition. It is clear that this example was never abused or tracked. The paint is mostly original and in very nice condition. There are some minor rock chips on the front nose (see pics) but less than normal for the miles. The glass is all-original including the windscreen. The wheels are in great condition and wear Bridgestones with about half-life remaining. The brakes are between 50-75% life remaining all the way around. The interior is in equally as nice condition. The leather seats look great with no tears. There is just some minor wear on the exit bolsters of the driver seat. The driver side threshold has a small piece missing (see pic). The dash is in great condition with no cracks or warping. The headliner and carpet look new. The digital display is new with no pixels burned out. All the buttons and gauges operate properly. Sometimes the navigation will work intermittently. but the rest of the radio and climate control switches work. Of course. it drives fantastic. The power is smooth and intoxicating. The steering and braking is sharp and responsive. This car is ready for daily use or fun long road trips. This M5 comes with all the original owners manuals. recent service records. glove box flashlight. car cover. floor mats. and complete tool kit.
