Up for sale is my 1969 bmw 2002 street/race car project. Our goal for this particular car was to make it into a lightweight 2002 racer that would still be able to be driven on the roads because of its clean title. The previous owner said he raced it in SCCA at Road America 15 or so years ago. After Acquiring the car we started by cutting and removing any rust and have replaced with new sheet metal. Both front and rear floor boards have been cut out and replaced with solid sheet resulting in much stiffer flooring as well as a trunk designed to accommodate a 10 gallon fuel cell that is centered in the car to achieve better ergonomics. The 02 is sitting on a set of hoosier slicks with about 3/4th life left on the classic bmw wheels. Along with the car pictured a complete parts list: m10 2. 0 motor. differential. axles. bilstein shocks. 4 piston brake conversion. steering assembly. radiator. drive shaft. and a couple other items that I probably forgot. Quite a bit of work has gone into rust removal alone and the dirty part of the project is essentially complete. only reason for selling is excess amount of projects instead of shoving it in the back for three years I figure someone could get it going and enjoy it. any questions feel free to ask thanks
