The first generation buick Rîvieras are the most sought after rivieras of all, s they were designed by the legendary GM head designer Bill Mitchell, ho also designed the c2 and c3 Corvettes, n his own words, is inspiration for this magnificent car was to combine rolls Royce luxury with Ferrari styling, t stunned the automotive world at the time has has continued to impress with its great timeless looks to this very day!
Take off the oil cap and marvel at how clean it is inside.....it should as has less than 1500 hundred miles on the rebuild, uns cool, as great oil pressure, nd it drives smooth and straight, he interior is in very nice shape, ew carpet, ew upholster, solid sheetmetal, olid floors, nd trunk, ew front coil springs, ew gas tank, ew muffler, early new tires, nd is equipped with pwr windows, C, wr locks, emote trunk release, wr drivers seat, ilt wheel, ruise, nd one of the rarest of all GM 1960s options......the AUTRONIC EYE, hich is the automatic head light dimmer found on the Cadillac and Rîviera.
As stated above the paint is well above driver quality, nd the chrome and stainless is original to the car and is not of show quality, ut still plenty respectable, nd the car gets plenty of compliments at every car show and cruise night.
That being said it does have a few areas that have not been important to me, ut I do want to disclose: the AC is not working, he cruise and AUTRONIC eye are not hooked up, he power seat motor runs but I belive it has slipped off it's track, nd not engaging it teeth, nd the parking brake is not functioning pretty minor and probably easy to fix for a do it yourselfer, he radio has been acting u, but I purchased another one from a buick owners club member, nd will include it in the sale, n the trips out of state and out on the expressways, e have kept sustained speeds as high as 80 mph without incident, nd it tracks straight and true, nd that absolutely gorgeous rumble sound that is produced by the dual exhaust, ever fails to transport me back to that fun era when cool cars were king, nd made us feel so good just to be alive and cruising down the road!
I have included many pics to show its beauty and condition, nd have tried to disclose what I believe about the car, nd bidders are invited to schedule an inspection before bidding, o see for yourself, nd you may write or call with any additional info requests 630-935-3333A classic car of this age is of course sold as is where is without warranty, non refundable 500.00 deposit is required immediately after auction, ith balance to be paid in cash at time of delivery, nless other arrangements are agreed to by me in advance.
With your deposit I can store the car for an additional 21 days at no charge. On Jul-07-15 at 14:29:37 PDT, eller added the following information:
