1997 Chevrolet Corvette

Available is my two-owner. Quick Silver. non-smoker. 1997 Corvette. Always garaged and rarely driven in the rain. I've owned it since 2002. CARFAX says 3-owner. but original owner had it leased for first 2 years. then bought it outright. Below are some brief descriptions and pictures. and I'm happy to answer any questions or provide additional pictures if needed. I have the clean and clear title in-hand. Exterior: I would rate the exterior a 7 of 10 with typical chips. scratches. and nicks for a car with only 49K miles. The car has been lowered 1" all around for a nicer look. so you do have to be aware of curbs and sidewalks when parking. As you can see in the pictures. the car has a very nice appearance and receives many positive comments. Wheels/Tires/Brakes: The wheels are an eBay find. a set of HRE's wrapped in Kumho Ecsta MXs that need replacing now (non-run flats. so I keep a DC-powered pump and plugs in the trunk ala Z06 in case of a flat). The wheels have some rash around the lips. but they were like that when I purchased the set ($4K wheels for only $1K off eBay). and they are still far better looking than the stock wheels. I still have the stock wheels to go along with the sale. and the pressure sensors are still in the stock wheels. Front tires on stock wheels have excellent tread. and can be swapped to the HRE wheels if desired. The brakes rotors are Brembo slotted and dimpled and their clamped with Z06 stock pads (both with 9K miles). Interior: Non-smoker. no cracks in the dash or doors (driver's door armrest has some wrinkles where it's not glued to underlying substrate well). and the seats are decent with some wear around the bolsters (typical). The carpet is in good condition with the original floor mats. CD/radio sound great. 2nd only to the sweet sound of the 5. 7L V8. Engine/Transmission/Exhaust: I've never had an issue with the motor or drive train; not one. Since I've owned the car. I've done all of the regular maintenance including yearly Mobil 1 oil changes. with the tranny. differential. and cooling fluids all changed within the past few years as well. Car runs strong with a sweet tone coming from the Corsa Indy mufflers. The automatic transmission shifts perfectly. If you are looking for a perfect C5 vette in show condition. this is not it. If you are like most. and want a nice sports car that you're not afraid to cruise around town in and has many years of powerful. reliable life left in it. you might want to consider this Corvette. The Bad: A) The A/C is not working. The compressor leaks and needs to be replaced. I've been quoted $1. 00 for the repair. B) Tires need to be replaced C) One of the electric motors that opens the rear hatch makes a noise when its activated (works fine. but sounds awful) If you are interested. email me.
