We have up for sale today our 1939 Chevrolet farm truck. I am relisting this as e-bay deleted the listing because it was listed in the wrong category. I hope it is right this time!! It does start and run. I did drive it around earlier this spring using the small gas tank under the hood. The main tank should be good as it was steamed out a few years ago and I don't think it was ever used after that. The carb was rebuilt. fuel pump replaced. new spark plugs. wires. points and condenser were installed. New coolant has also been installed. The exhaust manifold appears to be leaking where it bolts up to the head. The engine does have some blow by and does smoke a little but seems to still run OK. The front tires are poor but they do hold air. Two of the back tires hold air as well but two are junk. The body does appear to be pretty sound with very little rust. The glass is all bad and needs to be replaced. (see pictures). The clutch. transmission and rear end all seem to be good. The box is factory built. I did remove the wooden floor as it was in very poor condition. I do have all the sides for the box and they have been stored inside ever since I have had the truck which has been approximately ten years. A working St Paul hoist is installed on the truck. I purchased the truck with the idea of restoring it but that just doesn't seem to be going to happen. This truck came from our neighbors on the farm so I have known this truck all my life!! The speedometer and gauges all seem to work and the mileage shows 58. 42. This would make a nice project for someone as it is complete. If you have any questions or would like more pictures please e-mail. I prefer local pickup but if shipping is needed buyer must make own shipping arrangements. seller will assist with loading etc. Thanks for looking and Good Luck bidding!!
