Description

Uo for sale is a 1980 Chevy El Camino. This is a good running. shifting. and driving car. It is decent like it is or drive it while you make it nicer. The car has what im pretty sure is a 350 engine. hard to tell the 305 and 350 apart sometimes but pretty sure it is a 350. The engine sounds good but has a very small exhaust leak at the rear on the passenger side. not bad but just wanted to mention it. I was going to fix it but dont have another header gasket laying around. The engine looks to have been painted and detailed quits a bit recently. It has a rare aluminum intake on it. nice Moroso tall valve covers. and looks like new Accel wires etc. It looks pretty clean. It has a 4 barrel carb on it but the choke isnt set up. It starts great and idles good after just a little warm up. typical of the old carb engines. The trans shifts great. no problems. This elcamino has a high dollar exhaust system on it. It has the headers and dual exhaust all the way back with flow master mufflers and it sounds wicked. As I said someone spent a lot of time and money having the pipes bend to fit really nice with the tail pipes exiting at the rear just below the bumper. I would say theres at least $600 worth of exhaust work done on this car. The car has AC but the compressor I feel will need replaced to make it work as it makes some noise. All the lines are there. just the compressor is bad I think. The wheels I think are original to the car and they have the trim rings on all of them and new center caps. they look good on this car. Tires are very good. probably 80%. NO dry rot. The interior of the car is decent but not perfect. Nice for a daily driver. The dash has some cracks. door panels are driver quality. seat is pretty nice and the carpet is fairly new. It has a good looking steering wheel on it. kinda old school look. The windows are manual. door locks are power but dont seem to work. may just be corroded contacts or bad switch. they are fairly reasonable to buy should you need them. The car also has a cd player. All in all the interior is pretty decent and above average driver quality. The car has the lights instead of the gauges in the dash. not sure if they all work or not. The fuel gauge does work good. Speedometer and odometer work but I am seling this true miles unknown because theres no way to be sure of the mileage on a car this age. The body on the El camino is actually pretty good. The only outer body rust is in front of the rear tires. think theres a pic of it. not real major but there are some holes. The passenger door has some rust on the bottom but not though the outer skin. its just normal stuff for this body style. Outer skin can be tacked back on. its not all rotted away but needs some attention. Im pretty sure the drivers door is good with just surface rust. no rot. Hood looks good. drivers front fender has some slight damage but would be an easy fix. The other fender is good and the bedsides are good with only some pitted surface rust along the chrome trim. you can see it in a couple of the pics. Think all the trim is on the car and most of it is in pretty good condition. The tail gate doesnt seem to be rusted at all. The passenger floor pans have been patched a little. dont think it was anything major but was rusted through some. Drivers side is solid. no patch work at all. nice. The bed floor is very solid with only surface rust. Bumpers are both pretty straight but the rubber molding on them arent real good. Think all outer lights work. The cars paint is dull but would polish out some but there are some pitted areas as I mentioned before. There are holes on the bed side where it once had bed rails on it. I may have a set of them if youd want to put them back on. no promises but will check. Well thats all I know to tell you guys about this el camino. The car is a nice daily driver as is but could be a very nice car with a little work. Its not a rust bucket guys. actually very minor rust for a 80 model. Remember this is a 1980 model so dont expect perfection of any kind. Ask questions. dont assume anything. Guys if youve bben looking to get in a elcamino without spending piles of money this is it. Its a decent car. not a junker. its worth spending a little money on. The car comes with a clean and clear NC title ready to go. Checkout my feedback as its well over 600 and all positive. you dont get great feedback like that if you lie and cheat people. I tell it like it is. If you have less than 10 positive feedback you must contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bids to prevent possible scams. Also I reserve the option to end the auction early as the El camino is listed for salel locally also. Dont miss out on this car guys as its priced right . the buy it now is way more than fair. Thanks for reading my novel and good luck should you decide to bid on this nice running. driving. Elcamino.
