Up for auction is a completed restoration project from 2001of this '54 Chevy 3100 pick up. This is a truck that is documented with dates and names dating from the 2nd owner to it's 6th owner. It started its life out in CT. and lived a little of it's life in New York state. before returning back to CT in 1999. Since then it has been well cared for and restored back to its factory equipped condition as it was in 1954. This vehicle was taken down to its bare cab and re assembled. Many parts were either replaced with new reproduction equipment or NOS parts. Some of these things include. the complete repainting of interior and exterior. nbsp;New glass. a generator rebuilt. replacement shifter linkage and original style column shift. new door locks and gaskets. fresh air heater rebuild with new heater core and defroster ducts. new wood bed with the removal of rear axle. springs and frame repainted. nbsp;new shocks. new brakes. new door wind lace. new floors with new rubber floor mat. new firewall cover. rebuilt carburetor. new muffler and tailpipe. New Cooper wide white tires with less than 100 miles on them. new 6 Volt battery. New brake lines. king pins. and fuel pump. new valve seals. tune up. and tailgate and front decals. This truck features a new dealer add on "Bard" rear bumper and new front chrome bumper. Newly installed directional signals with NOS electric wiper motor. and new hand brake petal and cables. The '54 has replacement running boards off a west coast truck This body was stripped and all panels taken off the truck to repaint!! This truck was repainted its factory color. with a newly replaced bed with wood floor. treated and aged to how they were when they were new. Many people refinish the beds and they appear to finished. as they never were intended to look like a bowling alley lane. The interior has been completely replaced to original factory specs. The speedometer gauges and bezels have been replaced. as well as wiper. throttle. and choke knobs. and door panels. This truck starts right up and drives perfectly. It is a great example of a stock truck restoration. It has its original (rebuilt) engine and transmission. and looks exactly what a '54 3100 Chevy would have looked like new. A great example of a survivor and not a truck that was made into a hot rod. There are 3 things that need attention. There is a crack of the front of the rear passenger side fender. and on that fender there is a little blemish in the paint (see pics) . and the two door handles are showing some light pitting on the tops of the handles and could stand a replacement to make show quality. These things are minor and can be easily fixed. The lack of storage space only forces the sell of this truck. Additionally there is a factory shop manual. owners manual. and a box of spare throttle. and some trim parts that go with the truck. as well as a documented photo album showing the truck before. nbsp;during. and after the restoration. Bid with confidence and ask any questions. The truck is available to be driven and inspected during this auction. I will not remove the listing and top bidder wins this truck.
