Description

True classic! 1939 Chevrolet Master pickup truck with some original paint and all its original driveline. I will try to describe in detail all the highlights of this true survivor. This truck had spent decades with the same family and has been lovingly maintained in its original form. Exterior is super super straight with no damage or repairs. all metal is the original body as it rolled off the line in 39. no replacement panels on this truck! Body has some original paint. fenders and running boards have been repainted but it was done a long long time ago. All dog house trim and grill are in excellent shape but finish is a bit cloudy due to age. no dings or bends in the grill. Front and rear bumpers are straight with no damage but again a bit cloudy in spots due to age. still no damage or rot though. Engine covers on both sides open and close like new with no damage to finish or metal. hinges and latch system work great with no damage. Cowl vent works like new. front window cranks in and out like new with no issues also. All glass appears to be original with no crack damage but lower edge of front glass and rear window are getting a bit hazy due to age. Door glass cranks up and down with ease and all door felt and window felt are in place. Doors do NOT sag when opening and are VERY tight closing like new with NO road noise or rattles. nice! Doors have no bottom rot or damage. Bed and tailgate are in great shape with NO bed wood damage. Tailgate and bed front bulkhead are straight and not bent like most. with no evidence of previous damage or repairs. Cab is perfect with no damage. no rot. no repairs. bring your magnet. no bondo. Cab floor is mint (look at pics). Interior is a true step back in time! Majority of interior paint is ORIGINAL and has some great wear patina on the doors around the crank handles (see pics). Interior headliner is ORIGINAL and in tact! Seat has been redone and looks like new. Steering wheel and shaft is original and NO damage. Dash is in like new shape with ALL WORKING ORIGINAL GAUGES. gauges are all original and have a antiqued look due to a bit of aging but all are very readable and work. Original Delco "air conditioning" fan on steering shaft works and is way cool! All light switches work and so does the high beams and vintage spot lamps. Gas tank under seat is original and has been cleaned and lined and in like new shape. Driveline is all original and fresh. Original 216. 5 "stovebolt" 6 has been completely rebuilt. rebuilt generator (6 volt). rebuilt starter. recored radiator. new hoses. new battery (6 volt) absolutely NO mechanical issues and starts and runs PERFECT! This truck runs SO good that 10 feet away you cant even hear it. Brakes are all rebuilt with all new parts. new brake lines and brake hoses. Stops like new with no pulling. Tires are vintage Dayton "Thorobred" 6. 50x16 6 ply truck tires. Hub caps look to be original and are a bit dinged up but not junk. Emergency brakes even works like new!The truck is SO complete that it boggles the mind that it lasted this long and has not been modified or modernized. even the vacume wipers work like new! (still vacume) Body is straight and true but the paint does need some touching up or polishing in spots but NO NO NO body work or bondo popping on this truck. This is a very very rare barn find/garage find type of time capsule for the true collector! Would also make the perfect advertisement vehicle for a business. Clear Ohio title in hand! NO TRADES!
