For sale is a 1971 Chevy Cheyenne. This was my first truck. I bought it when I was 14 and have had it over 20 years now. My dad and I did a frame off restoration on it back in early 2000s. Unfortunately I need a new roof and some other repairs for my house. I have paper work to backup most of the modifications we made to it during the restoration.Highlights -383 ci stroker smallblock (approx. 10-1 compression)GM Performance "Fast Burn" headsLT4 "Hot" hyd. roller camForged Lunati rods and pistonsWith the mild cam engine dyno'ed at 410 HP/415 ft-lbsMildly built TH400 trans. BODY-Original AC cab (AC works! Already converted to R-134a)Genuine steer hide bench seatFully insulated (Dynamat and aluminum backed insulation used)Power steeringPower brakes (disc front/drum rear)4" Early Classic Enterprise drop spindlesAir bags in rearFront and rear sway bars (truck handles like a slot car)Under bed aluminum fuel tankBattery mounted under bed in rearComes with extra set of bedside trim (needs new right tail light trim piece - I backed into the lawn mower in the garage)Backup lights do not work - I have an external add on switch to power them, ust not installed yet15x8 Cragar SS mags - have some surface rust on the chrome (truck has been sitting the past couple of years)CD player/changer, ick panel speakers and 6x9s in boxes behind the seat
The odometer says 9900 miles. That isn't accurate. It is significantly less since the frame off rebuild (we replaced the speedometer.odometer). The transmission has the wrong speedo gear. It is a TH400 out of a Vette so the gear is available, just never got it.
I have the blue Texas title.
Like I said, his was my first truck. I hate to sell it. But unfortunately life has gotten the better of me right now.
