1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super Short Bed. 1/2ton 2wd. big block gen 5 GM crate 454 with Comp Cams "Thumper Cam". engine is dressed to look like the original 402 with the correct 1971 cast iron intake. accessory brackets. and correct valve covers. topped off with a completely rebuilt Quadra Jet 4 barrel updated with an electric choke. Correct cast iron exhaust manifolds with Flow Master super 44 mufflers give this huge engine a very aggressive sound! To sum it up. under the hood essentially appears to be completely stock and original but has all the modern convienience and reliability you'd want and expect out of a truck at this high level of restoration. Turbo 400 automatic with dash2 shift kit. heavy duty valve body and custom buit 2300 stall converter. Air Ride Technologies Level 2 kit includes tubular A-arms and tubular rear trailing arms. full 4 corner independent air bag controls via digital monitor/controller. 5 gallon air tank allows for maximum performance. Vintage Air Conditioning System specifically designed for C-10 trucks gives a stock interior appearance with modern performance and includes a polished compressor. The entire body was taken down to bare metal and all rust was repaired correctly with real metal and patch panels. this truck was done right and IS NOT full of body filler. no corners were cut. The underside of the cab was blasted and Rhino lined to preserve the truck. The body was then apoxy primed and painted with PPG super jet black base/clear. the entire body and almost the entire truck was assembled with stainless hardware. All the glass. seals. window regulators. and all related door parts were replaced. The steering column is a brand new tilt factory reproduction with a new factory reproduction steering wheel. the gauges are completely brand new with tach and vacume gauge included. with woodgrain bezel around gauges and on the glove box to match the original Cheyenne Super package. The only interior modification was the stereo. with a flip out flat screen Pioneer DVD/CD combo. that includes a back up camera that appears automaticly when the truck is put into reverse gear. Under the seat is a hidden amp and 8" subs in low profile aluminum boxes. topped off with 5 1/2" door speakers for an awesome sound! The seat is original that was beautifully recovered in a red and black houndstooth pattern. New headliner. door panels. carpet and sun visors complete the all brand new interior. The wiring harness is an American Autowire Classic update series. every wire is color coded correctly to factory specs and is labeled to note location. The fuse panel uses modern fuses as part of the electrical system upgrade. Also upgraded as far as electrical is concerned. would be a high output single wire alternator. eliminating the often unreliable external voltage regulator. and a compact high torque mini starter topped off by an Optima red top battery. The bed floor was done in white oak and was professionally sealed and coated to a high gloss shine. and is complimented by polished stainless bed strips and hardware. All exterior trim. chrome. emblems etc. are all new. The wheels are 20" Coys with low profile tires. 10" wide rear. and 8" wide fronts. No detail or expense was spared in this build. everything is new. it drives and looks like its brand new. I've spent over $45k just in parts and the paint/body work.
