1956 Chevrolet 3100 Custom Pickup
This is one amazing PU. Same owner for the last 25 years. Walt also restored and customized this PU himself. He bought a ’77 TransAM for the front end, ower brakes ( front disc ) Power steering and steering column. Engine is a 305 V-8 from a Camaro. Turbo 350 transmission with Lokar shifter. 3.42 TransAM rear end. Vintage heat and air that blows cold. Walt did all the work. He even painted it. It looks great and it’s a trophy winner. The wood bed is beautiful. Has a Gaylord bed cover. The seat is from an 2005 Chevy truck. Radio custom auto sound. Walt replaced the small window cab with a 1958 big window cab that was in excellent condition no rust. Walt changed the vin tag from the old cab to the new cab so your state may require bonding because of this? I have driven it about 70 miles so far and it’s very easy and comfortable to drive. It feels real good in that 60 MPH range. Speedometer is about 8 MPH fast at 60. If you were to drive across country you may want to raise the gearing? It’s not a show PU even if you think it is. Joe, t Old School Garage, id the service and safety check. Installed new front brake pads and engine belts. Replaced the gas float so the gas gauge works. It’s all serviced and safety checked and ready for your driving pleasure. I like finding PU’s like this one. At our dealership we work very hard to accurately describe our vehicles through text descriptions and elaborate photos. When you purchase a pre-owned vehicle it is not a new vehicle. Any used vehicle can have normal wear and blemishes. Before placing a bid please read the descriptions thoroughly and view all pictures.
