Up for sale is a 2003 C5Z06 racecar. Car is well sorted. built right and fast. My priorities have changed. so I'm getting out of racing for the time being. If you have any questions send me a message and include your phone number if you'd rather speak over the phone. Background Info: The original fabrication and mechanical work was performed by Greg Dansbury (Pratt & Miller). which should speak for itself. Pratt & Miller is the engineering Firm behind Corvette and Cadillac Racing. The car spent most of it's life in Michigan where it was put up for sale in 2013 after winning the 2013 NASA ST3 National Championship. I purchased it and had it shipped out to Utah where I ran the 2014 NASA ST3 season and took 1st for the region. Basic Info: Car is a 2003 Z06 currently with 23k on it. Car is titled in Ohio. Currently has 2014 NASA ST3. and TT3 approved log book. (2010. 2011. 012. 2013. 2014). Restrictor plate lets it run in TT3/ST3. Remove and you can run TT2/ST2 with slicks. Weighs in at about 3140 lbs dry. Car has run a 1:31. xx at Mid Ohio and 2:03. 3 on Outer at Miller Motorsports Park in TT3/ST3 trim. Details/Mods/Etc:Any items I upgraded/replaced since owning the car are annotated. Motor is a LS6 with around 24 track hours on it. It was installed at the end of 2012 and upgraded with a Katech oil pump. Torquer cam. timing chain. valve springs and belt tensioner. Currently tuned for 359 HP and 375 Ft-Lbs Torque. I only ran ST3 so never had it tuned for full power. however previous seller claimed if tuned for full power and with full slicks it would be competitive in ST2. As with most vehicles (especially racecars) there's usually something that one would want to be fixed. In an effort to be as forthcoming as possible. the following are items I think are pertinent:Front Nose/Fender - Repaired and primered before I bought the car. so if you remove the plasti-dip the front left corner will not be painted yellow. Also I had a small scuffle this last season in the same area. so I cracked the nose again. Currently duct taped and structurally fine. but will need to be repaired if you plan to paint. I can patch if requested for sale. Windshield - Quite a few rock chips when I got the car. All were filled in and it held up fine last season. Doesn't affect visibility but some people are picky. Transmission - Trans that was in the car when I bought it (built by D&D) went out after the first race. Suspect bad 3-4 synchro. I swapped it with another one (built by Rockland Gear) and replaced the case seals before installing. Trans will sometimes pop out of 1st or reverse. but doesn't bother me since they are only used in the pits. Also has weird issue where it throws out fluid after sustained race durations. Last race it started around 35 min mark. My speculation is that the fluid is getting too hot. It has a cooler. but currently there is only an electric fan pushing air through the cooling fins. I'd say the cooler needs to have some forced air run through it. which could easily be done via NACA duct. Anyways. you may or may not have an issue based on driving style. track etc. But to cover it I've listed the car $2K less than I was planning. Shipping: Shipping is not included in the selling price. Buyer is welcome to pick up the car locally. If shipping is required the buyer is responsible for setting up the details. Also. I currently still have my truck and trailer. so would be willing to negotiate meeting somewhere if needed to close the deal.
