Up for sale in our Tampa Showroom is one of the most sought after late model Corvettes the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 50th Anniversary Edition. These very limited production cars were made to commemorate the original Corvette brought to the streets in 1953 and were only available in Polo White at the time. The Anniversary Edition was started in 1993 as the 40th anniversary and were only made in what is known as Anniversary Red Metallic. This style was brought back in 2003 again and done up in the exact same paint code as before to truly state how proud they were to remain in production for 50 years. Built with the legendary 5.7l V8 LS1 engine these Corvettes were not all show and no go Chevrolet was never one to stray away from tremendous horsepower. To take control of this power however is one of Corvettes favorite additions the Tremec 6-Speed Manual made popular by the Dodge Viper and of course the Chevy Corvette. The Anniverary edition was more than just a Corvette with a good coat of paint however these cars came very well equipped with features that werent available even on the Z06 Corvette including 50th Anniversary Aluminum Wheels 50th Anniversary embroidering on the seats and Magnetic Selective Ride Control. All of these features added an additional $5000 to the base model and yet only a mere 7547 of these Anniversary Corvettes were ever made.
