By the mid 1960s despite being Chevrolets most expensive vehicle. it was the top selling vehicle in America. It outsold the Ford Galaxie and Plymouth Fury. There are plenty of fond memories for those that grew up in the 1960s when these full sized American cars dominated the market and were considered average sized cars. Nowadays these large automobiles would dwarf the average Toyota Camry (and look a lot better doing it). A big car needs a big engine. and this one has got one. Pop the hood of this SS and youll find the legendary 396 CID Turbo Jet Big Block V8.
