More Photos and Video of engine running recently here: Gallery
This car has been in the family for over 30 years. It's began its restoration process years ago, but physical limitations have kept it from ever being finished. It has a bunch of new parts that were bought for the restoration, but haven't yet been installed.
Car had a new 350 CI motor installed in 1991, and has less than 500 miles on it since installed. Motor had a new Crane cam and new Doug's headers installed a couple years ago, but never run for any substantial amount of time. Please see the video of the car being started and running. Transmission also works, but will need a transmission cooler to be drivable. The car does not have any glass, and the seats are still original, and need to be re-upholstered. The tires are very old and separating, so they will also need to be replaced to drive the car. The car has original Cragar SS wheels with spinners, as well as standard caps.
Car was repainted a few years ago, and is in decent shape. The roof is painted Lexus Pearl White, and the rest of the car is GM Firebird Red. There are some small places on the car where the paint is bubbling slightly, and I've tried to get some photos of those areas.
All chrome pieces have been re-chromed, and all stainless and aluminum trim has been re-polished. Almost all of the original fasteners, hardware, gauges, wiring, and other parts have been kept.
Also included are a reproduction of the car's factory assembly manual, a 1957 restoration guide book, and an original shop manual.
