This is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 Door Hardtop. nbsp; also known as a Sport Sedan. this is the good 4 door. when you roll down the windows there are no posts. The was the flashy hot rod for the guy who had kids. I bought this car to restore. but unfortunately a piece of property i have been chasing for years is now available and i need to let my dream go. ( my first car at 16 was a 57 Bel Air 4 door Hardtop and i loved it. )This car was a Barn Find. I saw it originally 4 years ago in a barn near my house and at that time was told I had been there for 5 years. I deployed to Afghanistan. and met with the farmer and purchased it when i got back. So she has been sitting in the bard for at least 9 years. I was told it was running when parked. I bought this car specifically because. it is a good straight clean 57 chevy. very rare in Massachusetts. nbsp; The floors with the exception of the back of the trunk are very solid; it comes with a patch panel for the rear of the trunk. All the floor braces are solid. The seats are their and intact. they have been recovered with black vinyl at some point. in decent useable shape. The motor is a later model V8. i have not messed with it. I was looking for a correct 283. but unf my plans have changed. The gentleman i got the car from told me it ran when parked. so the motor is either a good core or possibly could get running (no guarantee on drivetrain). All and all a very good nice car for what it is. it does need work. you will not drive it home but with the exception of a few trim pieces a very complete nice old bel air. that can be either made to run. or a good start to a very nice restoration. I do know and love 57 Chevies and you will not be disappointed. I have a clear open title.
