Up for auction is a 1956 Chevrolet sport sedan. This is a extremely rare original survivor. A collector car to be preserved. This vehicle is numbers matching original color. interior color. engine. power train. trim. This car was acquired a few years ago. It appears to have been repainted and interior freshened up. It is a driver not a show car. But with consideration for its age it is in amazing condition. This car is owned by a meticulous collector and we hope it will go to a person with the same values. I will try to accurately present this vehicle with description and pictures. but if any extra detail is needed please ask. The vin# states that the car is an actual sport sedan with only 103. 02 produced that year. . A fraction of other four door models. Vin breakdown is as follows: vc=bel air 8 cyl-2400. L= manufactured in Los Angeles a true california car. 1039d = sport sedan 17505= its number in production line. Engine number is matching and breakdown is: V-8. 265cid. 205hp. . 25:1 compression. 4 barrel carb. powerglide and power pack. made in Flint plant. Body tag states: it is correct color india ivory/ dusk plum. interior trim charcoal/ivory. All number tags are present and in correct place. Small amounts of rust and pits are present in all usual spots. I have taken pictures of these minimal spots but they are very hard to see. The only things that have been upgraded from the factory equipment are front disc brakes. power brake booster. power steering. The car runs and drive straight and true. I haven't found any equipment to be non functional except the clock. From the glove compartment light to the gauges and running/turn signals. It works. Check out the pictures and email with any questions. This car is ready to sell. The starting price is competitive with other same models in poorer condition not number matching. Bid with confidence and good luck!!!
