1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Base Hardtop 2-Door 5.7L

For sale. a 1972 Monte Carlo in unrestored. original condition. It is a 350. 4 barrel. 12 bolt AC car. Green with a dark green interior. I bought this car about six months ago from the second owner. It had been sitting for the past 12 years. It is a very original. generally rust free car. Paint is original with surface rust. scratches etc. The surface rust on the Drivers side door and quarter panel was getting to the point where I had concern it would begin to pit. To remedy this I took the paint down to bare metal and primered it. No major rust issues anywhere on the car with the exception of the rear window channel. This was a vinyl roof car and there has been some typical damage (see pics) to the rear window channel where water collected and created some issues. This will definitely need to be repaired for any restoration. When I bought the car it was not running. I got the car home. cleaned off some wiring leads. changed out the gas. replaced the battery and the car fired right up. The brakes were shot so replaced rear wheel cylinders. fluid. brake shoes. master cylinder and they work perfectly now. Put on new tires (Cooper Cobra GTs). What I like most about this car is that it is very original and unmolested. It is straight. rust free and drives well. All lights. back up. headlights. signals work well. Wiring harness has not been all hacked up. It has some dings (see pics) and the seats and headliner need to be done in the interior. The carpet is driver quality. door panels are very nice. dash is decent. dash pad is cracked in typical places. Deluxe seatbelts as well. This car has some interesting original documentation including protecto plate. manuals and handwritten dealer original options list (see pics). I have a new repop front bumper and a very clean original rear bumper that come with the car as well. I have restored and driven quite a few Chevy cars from this era and this is one of the cleanest I have come across.
