Simply put. it feels like a modern truck in every way except for the wind noise that is inherit with these old bodies. I have owned dozens of vintage trucks ranging from originals to high-end resto-mods and I have to say this is the only one that I could tow with in "complete comfort and confidence". Vintage is "skin" deep ONLY This is far from an original truck AND it is far from the typical approach used to modify vintage original trucks. It was built in 2000 with almost entirely “stock” late model GM components. It is not only super reliable but it is also practical in terms of maintenance and parts availability. It was a very expensive and complicated build. This is a vintage body grafted onto a MODERN ¾ ton 1989 to 2000 Chevrolet truck Chassis with a stock LS1 fuel injection motor out of a 2000 CORVETTE and a 4L60 overdrive transmission. The driveline has approximately 80. 00 miles on from new. It has a 2000 interior from a Tahoe. To duplicate this truck AS BUILT (…. with all the features it has) would easily cost over a $100. 00. I will sell it for far less. I do not have to sell it. but I no longer use it and have priced it to sell. If you know anything about the time. talent and money involved in building something to this level. you will find this truck to be a real bargain. Dual Purpose build It is truly a one of a kind truck as built. The goal of the build was to have a SHOW & TOW truck. with emphasis on comfort and safety while towing. I did not build it but purchased it from the builder/owner a few years back to tow my vintage trailers. Condition While probably close to flawless when finished some 14 years ago it now shows evidence of use and age. While it remains beautiful and pleases all that see it. it is no longer show quality perfect. Over all the paint is super slick however there are some areas that would benefit from some spot repairs. Please NOTE that I have been careful to point out in the photos that it is by no means flawless …. if it were. I would price it at a significantly higher price. The good news is some simple spot repairs can bring the paint back to show condition if this would be your goal.
