Up for sale is my extremely nice rust free Corvair convertible. The car is originally from Tennessee. This car runs and drives very nicely. A lot of work has been performed to make this Corvair one on the nicest you will find. I have provided about 50 plus photos. I have also made a good number of comments concerning certain photos. Hopefully this will create a real good picture of my Corvair. This is one great looking car. The black paint and black convertible top are set off with a vibrant red interior. I think it is one of the best color combinations any car can have. Please. ask any and all questions before bidding. The reserve for this car is very reasonable. Hope you enjoy my ad. Yes. I know the grill is not correct for the 1964. A new one has been ordered. Thanks. The factory paint color on this car (code900 Tuxedo Black) as you can see in the above photo has a great shine. The car was painted 4 years ago. I personally like a paint job that has some age. If rust problems are going to show themselves they would have by now. The color combination of black and red is a hard combination to beat. The picture above shows the wire spinner caps. They are not new. but show very very well. The spinners look new. The rocker stainless. and the front and rear chrome fender dressing. along with the Corvair Monza emblem ( R & L ) on the lower part of the fender. and both door handles are also new. The rear bumper and guards are new. Also new in the photo are the Corvair letters. and the flags. You can also see how clear the back window is. The front bumper and guards are new. and look terrific. The next three photos will give you a closer look. Also new in the photo of the front of the car are the Corvair letters. the emblem under the lock. and the two long chrome pieces. one on each side of the lock. The wipers work. and the wiper arms are also new. You can't see it in this photo. but the windshield is crack free. The LOF marking is on the passengers lower corner of the windshield. ALL of the glass in this car is crack free. and the LOF mark is on each window. When you look down the side of the car. ou will see they are quite straight. You can also see from this photo the great shine of the paint. The AM radio was also an option. and cost $54. 00 The radio in this car plays. Also. all of the red painted interior metal has been nicely repainted. It really helps to set off the interior. The wood steering wheel is a very nice touch. The sunvisors are also new as well as the convertible top boot. Please note how nice the padded dash looks. I believe a padded dash was also an option. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING. If the photos of the RED interior take on an ORANGE cast. it is due to the sun light. and my camera. Thanks. The two front seat covers are new. The rear seat looks to be original. and it is in very good condition. The front seatbelts appear to be factory originals. and look great. The door panels are original and in nice shape. They are not ripped or torn. The armrests are not ripped or cracked. The front and rear carpet is new. Both sill plates are new. The door jambs are nicely painted. I do not know for sure. but it looks as if the doors were removed when the painting was done. The rubber door seals are new and as soft as the day they were installed. The above photo shows the bottom of the drivers door. I know the photo is dark. but the underside of both doors are nicely painted. NO RUST issues or repairs. The convertible top still looks almost new. NO rips or tears. and the back window is crystal clear. The top rail weather seal kit is new. When the windows are closed it gives a tighter seal. and you get less wind noise. The top pads were also replaced. The trunk of this car is in beautiful condition. As you can see from this photo the lid is also nicely painted. The trunk. engine and door rubber seals are new and as soft as the day they were installed. Please carefully look at all of the trunk photos I have provided. The above photo is of an option you do not often see. It is the gas heater. This item had an extra cost of $74. 00 I could NOT find any evidence of rust or collision damage repair in the trunk. It is in extremely nice condition. Also installed a new inline fuel filter. The engine received a valve job. Installed new oil pan gasket. O rings. machined valves and the heads. New push rods. and new lifters were installed. Lastly. valve cover gaskets. heat door. wo new bellows. and two new mufflers with exhaust tips. The cowl tag is a little difficult to read.
