Thank you for looking at this auction of my 1962 Citroen 2CV. Title says 1962 but I'm thinking that it might be an earlier model. I'm sure that one of you experts can chime in on that. The previous owner spent a lot of money restoring it and it's a beauty. It does need a couple things before it's 100% done. please see Item condition section. I'm not going to spend much time on describing this car. I believe that if you're looking at this auction. you're doing it with a purpose. nbsp; knowing pretty much everything there is to know about these cars. I'll be happy to answer any question you might have. Why am I selling? Excellent question. Life happened. I used to drive this 2cv around with my kids for icecream or to a park. divorce took care of that. Change of job makes it now challenging to drive it to work so. I'm thinking that the time is right for someone else to enjoy it the way it deserves. It's a real joy to drive and the most fun you can have at 45 mph. I bought this car 3 years ago. fell in love at first sight. It had been restored by previous owner. records show that over $15 000 were spent in the prior year of me purchasing it and it shows. this "Deuche" looks REALLY good. As nice as it is. these items still need sorted out: 1) Purchase the 2 rear/side turn signal lenses (lost in transport) $80 unpainted2) a couple of hardware pieces to keep the top folded $50?3) the headlights reflectors chrome is pitted which makes driving at night a real challenge. Period headlights are next to impossible to get and about $600 IF you get lucky to find a set. You could put a "modern set" for about $200 or do like me. drive something else at night ;-)4) engine drips a couple drops here and there when idling. 5) parking brake needs adjustedDuring my ownership. all I had to do was get the starter overhauled and get a new battery.
