Buy my project, t needs work but it runs, rives, nd stops fine. The pictures I'm providing I just snapped outside of the coffee shop where I am creating this listing. I haven't washed this truck in months and there is a ton of sand on the floor from me taking it to the beach all the time.
According to NADA (Kelly Blue book only gives values for 1992 or newer), his particular model truck is sought after: Worth $10650 at the low end and $26300 at "high retail, hatever that means.
It is a 19681/2 F-100 two wheel drive short bed truck with an inline six engine and automatic transmission.
It has nice wide 295/50/R15 tires (2 are new) on aluminum alloy rims.A four barrel Edelbrock carburetor set on a offenhouser performance intake manifold.Exhaust headers that split right off the 300 straight six engine to dual side pipe exhaust.New dash, ew carpet and soundproofing in cab.New Glovebox interior.New rear bumper and door thresh-holds (not installed).New steering gear box.New tie rod.New rag joint and hardware. All new wires pertaining to starter motor, attery, nd solenoid.New voltage regulator.New starter motor.New solenoid.
The bad:I drive this truck every day, t runs great, rives fine, nd stops ok but I think it's just because the stock 1968 drum brakes were never great. It does have some rust and the bed and floor pans were replaced with new metal at some point before I bought it. I was told that many areas have been ground down to bare metal, reated with an anti rust chemical, nd the bondoed. The door thresholds are not installed but I have new ones, nd the same goes for the rear bumper. There is serious oxidation on the alloy wheels. The armrests are not present. Radio is not original and does not work. Wipers only work in the fast position. And it needs the blinker control thing on the steering column replaced for blinkers to work. Speedometer and fuel gage do not work. I think the tires are unbalanced because it shivers a little on the highway at high speeds. I think the linkage from the steering column to transmission needs adjusting because you have to be push a little hard to make sure it is firmly seated in the "park" position.
I am not in a position to finish it and I owe big bucks to a motor repair shop on my other vehicle's engine or I would keep it.
I have this vehicle listed elsewhere and reserve the right to end this listing at any point. Do come see it if you are close enough. I live in st Augustine, lorida.
Sincerely,Charles Drill
