When Pontiac introduced the Firebird in 1967, hey were officially entering the pony car race.

Originally based heavily on the Chevrolet Camaro chassis design, he Firebird used the same front fenders, oors and rear fenders but had a split front grille.



The Formula Firebirds of this era have thedistinctive "shovelnose" front end and GTO-styled, ouvered taillights.



The 1974 Pontiac Firebird Formula350 two-door sport coupe is the true collector.

This one is well equipped with a 350 cubic-inch motor, utomatic transmission with shifter on the floor, /C, ower steering, ower brakes and period correct, ive spoke wheels.



Coming from a mature, rivate collector, his Formula Firebird is in VERY GOOD OVERALL CONDITION.



Although not a show car, his simple Bird is a living, reathing, erviceable machine that has exceeded the proud owner’s expectations in every way.



This is an extremely fast, eliable muscle car.

The car was recently refinished to a nice, river quality red with black interior.



Windshield molding has been replaired since this photo was taken.

Atiny spot where the paint has bubbled can be seen in the above photo.



A "Formula 400" emblem ison thepassenger fender (see close-up photo in slideshow) but this Firebird is actually a Formula 350.



There were minor body and rust repairs made prior to refinishing.

With the exception of some minor flaws, t looks great and there is absolutely NO evidence of major body or frame repair or any other mishap that would cause the enthusiast sleepless nights.



Mounted to the period 5-spoke alloy wheels are Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTS Radials

Engine & Mechanical:



The 350 V8 engine and transmission are in great running condition.



The A/C equipment ispresentbut thedrive belt for compressoris disconnected andthe owner does notknow if it works.



The car always runs cool, nd there are no major oil leaks worth mentioning.



The 350 Cubic Inch, cylinder power plant sounds crisp and runs smoothly, ike a turbine, ith superb oil pressure, old or hot.



Warmed up, oolant temperature remains absolutely stable, ith no hint of overheating even after extended runs or in rush hour traffic on a hot summer day.



All in all, he engine, ransmission and rear-end are all solid; making this Firebird is mechanically as strong as it is cosmetically.



Yes, ny GM drive train can be very tough and reliable with a bit of preventative maintenance!

Full instrumentation is surrounded by a simulated wood trimmed panel inthe deluxe interior.



The factory correct, lack interior is absolutely immaculate.

An original 8-track audio unit is not installed but is included.
