Fresh from the farm. I have a 1964 belair 2 door. It looks pretty rough but its really not bad at all. The car has sat on a farm in east Tennessee mostly undisturbed for the last 30 years or so. It was last tagged in 1983. I purchased it from a family member of the original owner. It has been in the same family since new. It is an original V8 automatic car and has some local street and strip racing history. The vin numbers show it was a v8 but no one seems to remember which one exactly. It still has the powerglide which was a rare option on the bel air models. All that I have ever seen have had the 3 on the tree. Someone swapped out the v8 for a 6cyl after its racing days were over. This motor isn't stuck and could probably be put back running with little work if you wanted. The body is very solid. It does have some rust in the trunk but fixable. It has some around the rear tail light area also. The rest of the body is very solid and original with only minimal rust spots here and there. It has Patina out the wazoo but not a lot of actual rust. The floors are rock solid. They have some discoloration but is only visual. All the glass is good. The interior will need redone but seems to be all there. The only things I've found missing on the car is the wiper motor and the body side chrome. It does have a shifter hole cut in the center hump where someone had a floor shifter in it at one time although the column shifter is in place and looks and works perfectly. It does have one dent in the driver side quarter panel but not deep and easily fixable. It even still has the original jack and it works perfect. It has a set of old school air shocks on the rear of it but I haven't tried to pump them up to see if they still work. It still has the original owners manual and dealer service coupons. If the car was raced it probably has a posi rear as well although I haven't confirmed this. All I've done to the car since I got it was swap out the old bias ply tires (which were all flat) for some good ones so it could be rolled around. I also ripped out the old carpet so I could check the floors. This is a very restorable and rare classic. You don't see many or any 2 door bel airs now a days especially in this condition. Allot more rare now than SS cars. This car would be great restored to new or get it running and drive as is with the great patina or even put it back on the drag strip. I'm not 100% sure if they were born on this car but the wheels that I swapped off of the 64 when I got it were 15" which would be a rare option in 64 because most came with 14" wheels. I'll let those original wheels go with the sale also.
