1963 Studebaker Avanti true survivor unrestored showing 54,525 miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage! The Avanti was introduced on April 26, 962 at the New York International Automobile Show. Rodger Ward, inner of the 1962 Indianapolis 500, eceived a Studebaker Avanti as part of his prize package, ecoming the first private owner of an Avanti. Fewer than 5,000 privileged owners were able to take deliveryof America's Only 4 Passenger High-Performance Personal Luxury Car available at the time. This is arguably the best example of a true survivor with original paint and interior still showing well with minor paint chips and blemishes as you would expect from a 50+ year old unrestored Avanti! The interior is in phenomenal condition with the exception of the headliner, hich is coming loose and now has a tear in it (see all pics). The original 289 V8 fires right to life and idles smoothly and quietly. Underside photos reveal a solid chassis with minor superficial rust present on most components. While this car runs and drives well, t should be completely serviced prior to any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability.
