Looking to sell my trusty C10. This is a fantastic and dead reliable truck with all the attributes of a good hot rod truck. The bed sides have zero rust and there isn't more than a little surface rust on the frame. There is no rust in the cab corners, or does there appear to be any previous work on the driver's side. The only real rust is in the rockers. The driver's side has some small holes and the passenger side is developing one. The floors aren't perfect but also not terrible.
Pros:
- Short bed, ery little rust
- Cab lights, un rack, arge mirrors
- 400 ci SBC out of a '70 Caprice, ebuilt in '89 bored .030 over. Have the receipts. Holley carb
- Air ride on all four corners, ully adjustable
- Drop spindles and disk brakes up front, -notch in the back
- Original 3spd on the column
- Rear axle bearings done last year
Cons:
- Most of the driving I do with the truck is local, n my ownership the longest highway trip it's been on was about 45 minutes. It runs a little hot on the highway but never overheated. It never runs hot in the city, ven when sitting in summertime traffic.
- Sometimes pops out of third at highway speeds under load.
- The air bags, isks and drop spindles were done right before I bought the truck and I think were rushed a bit by the previous owner. The right front bag will lose pressure over night and the brakes could stand to be bled. Nothing keeping the truck from being driveable but still issues nonetheless
I love this truck and don't need to sell it by any means but very much want something to auto-x/track.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. The truck is for sale locally, o I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time.
I'm happy to take pictures of any areas of interest and have a number already in my flickr account that I can send a link to if requested.
Thanks for looking!
