Thanks for looking at my 1971 Chevy pick-up. This truck was purchased brand new by my grandfather who passed away few years ago. This truck has been continuously driven since it was brand new and currently has 231,917 miles. This is a nicely optioned truck with a 402 big block, ower steering, ower brakes, C (not currently working). This is an un-restored truck that hasn't had its suspension messed with, ts dash cut for a stereo, r anything of the sort. In fact, he only non-original items are the steering wheel, lectronic ignition, nd exhaust. It has never left Northern California since it was made.
With exception to the AC, verything works well on this truck and I wouldn't hesitate to take it for a long drive. It runs great and loves to tick off miles going down the highway. It rides pretty nice because the front suspension was recently gone through by a very capable shop and almost all of the wear items were replaced. The 402 was rebuilt less than 5000 miles ago but I can't find paperwork in my grandfather's files. For the past several years I have been driving it on the weekend and just replacing items that need to be replaced.
I do have the missing trim piece on the right hand side of the bed and "CHEVROLET" trim that is installed on the tailgate.
Good:Recently re-built 402Almost all of the front suspension has been rebuiltNew starterNew batteryNew Brake Master CylinderNew Fuel pump
Current issues:Exhaust leak on right hand side. (I think this is located on the header.)Passenger exterior door handle is brokenThe original paint is in rough shape as you can see in the photosThe truck has been continuously run for 45 years so it has dings and scratches here and there.Needs weather stripping in drivers side door replaced
If you've made it this far, hanks for reading. I will be sad to see this sell but the time has come to do so.
