1971 Buick Skylark Custom Tudor Hardtop Mint Low Mileage Original Car from New

Up for bid is a Wonderful Time Capsule of a 1971 Buick Skylark Custom Tudor Hardtop from my collection. This car has only 42,489 miles from new. I have New York inspection receipts going back to 1993 when the car had 36,534 miles at the time. I knew of this car for many years before I purchased the car from a friend who is now 83 years old and a member of my antique car club. He purchased this car from the elderly widow when the car was about two years old after her husband had passed away and had owned ever since, ell over 40 years before selling it to me. This man, ike myself is a car collector and treated this Buick like one of his antique cars as I did. This car has never seen the snow or any heavy rain and driven on nice days to keep it in good running order.
Now as far as the condition, here is no rust on this car anyplace, gain because its always been inside and the paint and interior and top including all the chrome is all original to the car as you see here in the many detailed pictures. The spare tire still has the writing on it and never removed. All the tinted glass windows are excellent and the inside of this car is like new with a single crack or tear anyplace and is just amazing. The car has the original Buick floor mats that have no signs of much use at all and everything is in good working order. This is the Skylark Custom so the doors have the wood grain effect and the seats are nicer than the standard skylark. It retains the original numbers matching 350 two barrel engine of course and runs out like new. The Transmission shifts smooth like a new car and the car has Power Steering & Brakes and the factory Sonomatic AM Radio. The original owners manual comes with the car as well as a 1971 Buick Skylark shop manual. The car has the original jack & tire iron and as you can see a large star lug wrench is with the car tired down by wire so it would not slam into the inside of the body, touch my friend so I left it. The paint and chrome will amaze you and you could take this car to any show and if I were the new buyer I would enter it at Hershey in the preservation class as it was never shown and in fact never offered for sale till now. The tires by the way have the correct white wall and have excellent tread on them as you ca tell from the pictures. Even all the rubber is soft and like new.
Well there you go, know I am going on here but this is a very special car and something that will be hard pressed to replace. The best way to describe this car would be like going back in time, alking into Buick and buying a three year old car that was pampered and garaged. A great way to get into the hobby or add to a fine collection without the high cost. Best of luck to all.
