This is a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible that runs and drives for sale. I am selling due to health reasons. The car was my fathers and he did quite a bit to it before he passed away two years ago. Car was painted about5 years ago. I did not wash the car before taking the pictures. It has sat in the same building for many years and accumulated a lot of dust. I know the car was driven on the road about 2.5 years ago, ut has not been on the road since. I recently charged the battery, ut in some fresh gas and it started right up. I put it in gear and pulled it forward and in reverse and it did fine. I did not drive it out of the building. I tested the power convertible top and it went up and down, ut it needs a new canvass top. The convertible top frame is nice and in working order. I put "8 cylinder motor" in the description but it could be a si, just can't remember. I do remember my Dad saying it was the original motor that came in the car. So whatever it came out with is probably what it is. My Dad was going to put new interior in the car and new door panels but never got it. The side glass is missing but I do have some parts here and there but as of now cannot find the glass. There looked to be some side glass frames in the trunk with some cracked glass, ut I cannot tell what exactly is there and what is not, o I am selling like there is no side glass. Chrome has some pitting and as you can see in the pictures, he car is not perfect, lease bid based on thepictures. It would have been very nicehad he finished it. The car can be driven like it is but I would not go long distance as it has sat for some time. I do not see any rust on the car and the frame is solid. I am selling the car as is and I encourage anyone interested that is close enough to come see the car in person. Just email me and we can get togetheron a time. I know my Dad bought several new parts for the car over the years and had new brakes and mufflers installed at some time. I found a receipt from 2012 that showed he bought a new convertible top pump, ew convertible top cylinder, nd antenna assemblyand those three parts alone were over 500.00 and I know he bought much more over the years. Email me if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer; however I do not know very much about Bel Air's. I know it starts and goes in gear as it should, ut as far as other gauges and such, lease bid as if it doesn't work (even though it might). Buyer to pay and arrange for any shipping. Payment is to be made within 7 days of auction ending, ut I can keep stored inside for up to 60 days if someone needs time to arrange a shipper.
