1982 DATSUN 280 ZX. nbsp;BOUGHT NEW BY A LADY IN PHOENIX. ARIZONA AND SHE KEPT THE CAR UNTIL SHE PASSED AWAY. WE BOUGHT IT THROUGH HER SONS FROM HER ESTATE. SHE DID BUY A NEW CAMARO CONVERTIBLE AROUND 15 YEARS BEFORE SHE PASSED AWAY AND AFTER THAT THE 280 WAS ONLY USED WHENEVER A SECOND CAR WAS NEEDED. THE DATSUN IS LOADED WITH OPTIONS. nbsp;POWER STEERING. OWER BRAKES. OWER ANTENNA. OWER EXTERIOR MIRRORS. UTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. RUISE CONTROL. IR CONDITION. EATHER AND SUEDE SEATS. -TOPS AND THE STORAGE POUCHES ARE STILL WITH THE CAR. LUMINUM WHEELS. nbsp;THE FANCIEST STEREO/CASSETTE PLAYER THAT WOULD BE HAD AT THE TIME. nbsp;ETC. ETC. THE ORIGINAL LADY OWNER PASSED AWAY A FEW YEARS AGO AND WE JUST BOUGHT THE CAR FROM HER SONS. I DROVE THE DATSUN THROUGH PHOENIX WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL BUT AS I PARKED AT OUR RESTORATION SHOP ONE TIRE BLEW. THE TIRES ARE MICHELIN TIRES WITH VIRTUALLY NO WEAR BUT THEY ARE VERY DRY SO WE'LL INSTALL A NEW SET OF TIRES ON THE CAR BEFORE IT LEAVES OUR SHOP. AS FAR AS I CAN SEE THE 280 IS TOTALLY ORIGINAL AND UNMOLESTED EXCEPT FOR AN OLD REPAINT IN THE ORIGINAL BROWN METALLIC COLOR. IT WAS NOT AN EXPENSIVE PAINT JOB AND IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SHOW CAR IT WILL HAVE TO BE REDONE BUT FOR A GOOD DRIVER QUALITY CAR IT WILL LAST FOR A LONG TIME. THE BODY IS 99. % RUST FREE. THERE'S A FEW BUBBLES UNDER THE PAINT IN ONE SPOT NEXT TO THE GAS FILLER ON THE RIGHT SIDE QUARTER PANEL AND IN THE SPARE TIRE WELL WATER GOT TRAPPED AND THERE'S MINOR RUST THERE. THE CAR HAS NOT SEEN MANY MILES DURING THE LAST 15 YEARS OR SO BUT IT STARTS. RUNS AND DRIVES FINE STILL. THE OIL PRESSURE IS GREAT EVEN WITH A WARM ENGINE. THE TRANS SHIFTS FINE AND THE BRAKES ARE EXCELLENT. IT SEEMS LIKE PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING STILL WORKS OK. THE POWER MIRRORS WORK BUT NOT AS WELL AS WHEN NEW. I HAVE NOT TRIED THE A/C. AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF NOT BEING DRIVEN HARDLY AT ALL I EXPECT THE A/C SYSTEM WILL NEED SERVICE. THE WINDOWS GO UP AND DOWN FINE. EVEN THE POWER ANTENNA GOES UP AND DOWN STILL. OF COURSE THE RADIO PRODUCES MOSTLY STATIC NOISES. COULD BE DRY/CRACKED SPEAKERS. THE SEATS ARE GOOD CONSIDERING THE AGE OF THE CAR AND THAT THEY ARE LEATHER/SUEDE. THERE'S A FEW CRACKS IN THE LEATHER BUT THEY MOSTLY NEED A GOOD CLEANING AND THAT GOES FOR THE INTERIOR IN GENERAL. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU FLY IN AND DRIVE THE CAR ACROSS THE US DUE TO THE FACT THAT IS HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN MUCH IN THE LAST 15 YEARS BUT ON THE OTHER HAND AFTER WE HAVE INSTALLED NEW TIRES IT IS DRIVE ABLE AND USABLE. I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND SHORTER DRIVES IN THE BEGINNING. WE HAVE RESTORED AND SOLD AND EXPORTED OLDER CARS OUT OF OUR RESTORATION SHOP IN PHOENIX SINCE 1986 SO WE HAVE TONS OF EXPERIENCE WITH EXPORTING AND WE DO SELL WORLDWIDE. WE USUALLY EXPORT 2-4 CAR PER MONTH STILL AND WE ALSO SELL IN THE US AND CANADA OF COURSE.
